Northen Light at Yellowknife Canada - Part 2

Yellowknife is the best location in the world for viewing the aurora borealis. As the nights grow longer, the green, red and mauve lights of aurora borealis, or northern lights, are absolutely brilliant in their dance across the sky. The aurora results from forms of electromagnetic energy which are drawn to the earth's poles, literally charging the atmosphere and causing it to glow. Despite the crisp -40, (at that temperature Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature scales are the same) which is not uncommon in the heart of a Yellowknife winter, we have thousands of international visitors who come to be awe-inspired.

Very great right? They are so beautiful. But it is too cold.

Yellowknife is a culturally rich capital thriving with diversity, and home to about 20,000 people. Located on the shores of the beautiful Great Slave Lake, only 512 km south of the Arctic Circle, we are known for our outdoor recreation, midnight sun, aurora borealis and an unusual blend of northern culture... a City where history is found throughout a modern, bustling metropolis.

Luxury Yatch - inside out Part 2

A luxury yatch, of course is expensive. Even to join the member club can be expensive enough. The best is to gather several friends, say 10 plus, then rent it for one whole day. If you got some rich friend with membership or own a yatch, then life will be easier.

I set myself a target of sit on top of this yatch, so that I will work hard.

Luxury Yatch - inside out Part 1

This yatch is a top end luxury. I hope during my whole life time, I can at least sit on top and have a nice outing one day. Imagine you sit in the front, having the wind blowing to you, and seeing the view of sea connect to sky, birds and fishes fly around you. Wow, that will be so great.

Somemore the space is spacious, I think enough for a party of 10 people. Tomorrow will have the second part.

Antarctica Frozen Wave Pictures

The water froze the instant the wave broke through the ice. That's what it is like in Antarctica where it is the coldest weather in decades. Water freezes the instant it comes in contact with the air. The temperature of the water is already some degrees below freezing point.

Just look at how the wave froze in mid-air!! Nature is amazing!!

Big, Wide, Beautiful, Greenish Grassland Scenes - Part II

Continue from yesterday. Today got one night photo, equally beautiful.

Savanna is grassland with scattered individual trees. Savannas of one sort or another cover almost half the surface of Africa (about five million square miles, generally central Africa) and large areas of Australia, South America, and India. Climate is the most important factor in creating a savanna. Savannas are always found in warm or hot climates where the annual rainfall is from about 50.8 to 127 cm (20-50 inches) per year. It is crucial that the rainfall is concentrated in six or eight months of the year, followed by a long period of drought when fires can occur. If the rain were well distributed throughout the year, many such areas would become tropical forest.

Nice isn't it?

Big, Wide, Beautiful, Greenish Grassland Scenes - Part I

They are so wide, basically you just see a line between the land and the sky. So beautiful. I am sure every troubles will gone if you are standing there.

Grasslands can be found in most terrestrial climates. Grassland vegetation can vary in height from very short, as in chalk downland where the vegetation may be less than 30 cm (12 in) high, to quite tall, as in the case of North American tallgrass prairie, South American grasslands and African savanna. Woody plants, shrubs or trees, may occur on some grasslands - forming savannas, scrubby grassland or semi-wooded grassland, such as the African savannas or the Iberian dehesa. Such grasslands are sometimes referred to as wood-pasture or woodland.

Very great isn't it? More photos tomorrow.

How coconut can tell you the weather

Do you know that coconut can tell you weather? Need not the weather forecast, just a coconut is good enough to let you know the weather. This method has been using all the way in Kauai, the oldest island of Hawaiian. So you may like to try it out yourself, I think it works!

Kauai is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands. It about 20 minutes by air from Honolulu. Formed some six million years ago, the island encompasses roughly 550 square miles. To visit Kauai is to quickly lose yourself in the quiet majesty of the island's lush tropical setting and extraordinary natural heritage.

I love Hawaiian, it is so cold over the winter here.
